Time with children when there are allegations of family violence

Anna and James are going through family law proceedings where there are allegations of family violence. They are needing a place where the children can spend time with James in a safe and supportive environment.

Better Place Australia’s Children’s Contact Service (CCS) is assisting James to have supervised visits to see his children during this time. The process of the supervised contact centre aims to bring Anna and James to a point of self-management when it’s safe to do so, where they can arrange safe child visitations in the community by themselves.

Because the matter is going through the Family Law Court, the process involves providing Court reports containing objective case notes throughout all the supervised visits, which can be used for Court proceedings.

How is it working out for Anna and James at the Better Place Australia supervised contact centre?
