Safe court ordered visits

Mia is a 14 year old girl. Her parents are separated and the Court has ordered that visits with her father must be safe and supervised. Where could they arrange this? Better Place Australia supervised contact centres Melbourne and Gippsland provide a neutral environment for safe Court Ordered visits. Discovering this, the separated parents applied for the Better Place Australia Children’s Contact Service (CCS).

Mia’s parents went through the initial intake assessment with each parent separately and then conducted a child-readiness day for Mia at the centre. This helped to familiarise Mia with the surroundings and make her feel at home.

Following this, the practitioner arranged for supervised visits to commence each week. Part of the process of keeping visits safe was facilitating staggered arrival times. That way the parents didn’t have to crossover.

Watch this video case study where CCS Program Lead, Andrew, shares a snapshot off how we helped Mia and her separated parents and what the outcome was.
