Better Place Australia services over 120 residential aged care facilities, providing counselling support for low to medium mental health interventions. We understand that in many circumstances older people are at a vulnerable stage in their lives as they adjust to residential care. We work with residents to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

This research project examines the transition into residential aged care from different perspectives: residents, family members, and nurses and personal care assistants working in residential aged care facilities. The findings of this project will help us understand how to better support the mental health and wellbeing of new residents during this vulnerable time in their lives.

This project is in progress, and the content on this page will be updated as events warrant.
