The Role
A pivotal role where you’ll be at the heart of our screening services. Directly assisting our clients, including adults, children, separated couples/parents and families, you’ll predominantly offer initial assessment via phone from our Cheltenham office and, optionally, your home.
What you can expect to do in this role:
- Handling incoming inquiries and referrals over the phone.
- Processing referrals for Better Place Australia.
- Conducting initial screenings to ascertain individual needs and direct them to the right service pathway.
- Offering information, guidance, and referrals for counselling or dispute resolution needs.
What you will require:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioural science field (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and be adept in engaging and forming connections with individuals undergoing crises.
- A pronounced orientation towards customer service.
- A keen commitment to continuous learning.
- A genuine interest in Family Support Programs, Family Law, and Family & Children’s Services program streams.
- Proven capability to collect and evaluate screening and assessment data to determine service accessibility.
- Robust administrative abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
