Separated parents needing to arrange safe Court Ordered visits
The Family Law Court ordered safe, supervised visits for Mia and her father. To arrange this, the separated parents applied for the Better Place Australia Children’s Contact Service (CCS). Better Place Australia supervised contact centres Melbourne and Gippsland provide a neutral environment for safe Court Ordered visits.
The Better Place Australia practitioner conducted an initial intake assessment with each parent separately and then conducted a child-readiness session for Mia at the centre. This helped to familiarise Mia with the surroundings and make her feel at home.
Following this, the practitioner arranged for supervised visits to commence each week. To facilitate safe visits, arrival times to the supervised contact centre were staggered. That way the parents didn’t have to crossover.
Watch the video case study below where CCS Program Lead, Andrew, shares a snapshot of how we helped Mia and her separated parents and what the outcome was.
