Safe place for father to visit his child

Alice and her daughter Lilly, who is 14 years old, needed to find a safe place where Lilly could visit her father and develop a positive relationship with him. The separated parents applied to access Better Place Australia Children’s Contact Service (CCS). Better Place Australia supervised contact centres Melbourne and Gippsland provide safe neutral spaces for supervised visits and facilitated changeovers.

Andrew, Program Lead CCS, shared “After an intake assessment with each parent individually, we determined it was appropriate to proceed with the service and the practitioner began facilitating supervised visitations between Lilly and her father.

“To maintain safety, we arranged for the father to arrive 15 minutes early, with Lilly and her mother arriving 15 minutes later. This meant there was no crossover, ensuring a safe environment and experience for the visitations.”

How has it been going for them?
