Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Practitioners

Family Dispute Resolution services have long been a key pillar of our organisation and our team of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners (FDRPs) are acclaimed for their quality and dedication to excellence.

FDRPs identify problem solving options and strategies, assist parents to negotiate sustainable and workable parenting plans and provide assessment in relation to the provision of certificates as required by the FDRP Regulations.

Prospective candidates must be able to demonstrate registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner together with a proven ability to work within the Family Law Act.  Knowledge of the effects of separation and divorce on families is essential as is an understanding of the concepts and philosophy of family dispute resolution including mediation.  Other essential criteria include the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to issues as they arise, excellent communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to rapidly build rapport with clients.

We also periodically recruit for the role of Family Advisor.  Family Advisors train as Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners and in doing so, complete the Vocational Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution.  Appointees to this role are responsible for providing initial information, assessment, referral and limited counselling to strengthen relationships and assist families through separation.
