Ethics

We conduct high quality, needs-driven research to support the work of Better Place Australia, to improve client outcomes and contribute to best practice principles in the sector.

Our approach to ethics

Research proposals are reviewed by the Research Steering Group and assessed against the research policy for merit, feasibility and ethics. This includes adherence to the National Health and Medical Research Council guidelines for ethical research.

A project that has been approved by the steering group can progress unless the project requires the collection of primary data from participants. For projects where this is the case, additional approval is required from a registered Human Research Ethics Committee.
