Training Course Outline
The following is an outline of an indicative course outline that can be further tailored after consultations with you.
Training for staff includes 3 modules and will take a total of 2.0 hours. This will include:
- Verbal presentation and discussion
- Video presentation
- Role Plays
- Sufficient time for questions and answers.
Module 1: What is a vulnerable client (45 minutes)
This module will explore what makes a client venerable and how to identify a venerable client, including:
- Who are they
- What are the causes
- When it occurs
Module 2: Identification of vulnerable clients (45 minutes)
This module will look at how to identify and respond to a vulnerable client, including:
- How can vulnerable clients be identified early i.e. utilising a screening tool
- How to screen clients
- What are the signs/signals of vulnerability
- What questions to ask
- This may include role play
Module 3: Management of Referral Pathways (30 minutes)
How to effectively manage referrals of vulnerable clients to appropriate support services including:
- What do you do if you identify vulnerability
- Referral Pathways
Better Place workforce training can be conducted on-site within our modern training facility head office in Cheltenham, Melbourne, or at a venue of your choice anywhere in Victoria.
Training length is variable based on your needs. We can run anything from a lunchtime session to a seminar, workshop or ½, 1 or 2-day course.
